Venice stop and public visits: two date ranges to keep separate

The ship remains in Venice from 2 to 7 October 2026. Public onboard visits are scheduled for Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with last admission at 6:30 PM. The ship is therefore not advertised as open to visitors throughout the entire Venice stop.

02

The XV Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium on 6–7 October

During the Venice stop, the Italian Navy Arsenal hosts the XV Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium, an international forum on maritime security and cooperation. It is separate from the public onboard visits.

03

Booking is mandatory: how the visit works

The visit is free but access on board is only possible with a named reservation through the official Tour Vespucci portal. The published Venice availability is currently fully booked. If you already have a booking, keep the QR code sent by e-mail and follow your assigned time slot. Up to 4 people may be included in one reservation and all participants must arrive together. Where the ship is and how to enter

Amerigo Vespucci is moored at Riva di San Biasio, in front of the Naval History Museum of Venice. Check-in takes place at Villaggio IN Italia: show the QR code to staff and keep an identity document available, as the booking details may be checked. You may join the queue from 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after the time shown in your confirmation. In bad weather, the official portal advises checking for cancellations about 2 hours before the visit.

05

Families, pushchairs, footwear and animals

Minors may enter when accompanied. Children under 1 year old do not need to be included in the booking. Pushchairs and prams are not allowed on board and may be left on the quay. Comfortable shoes are recommended; open shoes and high heels are not allowed. Animals are not allowed; small dogs may enter only if carried.

06

Accessibility on board

Because of the ship’s historic structural characteristics, there are architectural barriers and standard wheelchair ramps cannot be installed. Access may therefore be limited for visitors with reduced mobility who need mobility aids. Staff assess individual situations on site, within the ship’s structural and safety constraints.

07

Planning from Marghera

Leaving the car at the apartment and travelling to Venice by bus or train remains a practical option. Onboard visits are currently fully booked, so check the official Tour Vespucci portal before leaving only for newly released availability, operational changes or organiser updates.
